We made great progress on the Cavanaugh Lake Rd Resurfacing Project in Sylvan Township over the weekend. Our contractor has completed all the pulverizing planned and they are now preparing the new road base for paving.
Right now, we’re planning to start paving the first layer of asphalt this Thursday if the weather cooperates. The contractor will start near the intersection of Cavanaugh Lake Rd and Pierce Rd and move eastbound as they pave.
Cavanaugh Lake Rd remains closed to all through traffic. Residents who live or work within the work zone (aka local traffic) will be provided access throughout construction. However, on days that we are paving, local traffic will only be permitted to travel eastbound within the work zone. Please use caution when entering the work zone and pay special attention to instructions from signs and workers in the field.
