So far, paving is going smoothly on the Cavanaugh Lake Rd Resurfacing Project in Sylvan Township. Today, our contractor started placing the second layer of asphalt aka wearing course. We hope to finish paving within the next few days. Once paving has been completed, we will place gravel shoulders and pavement markings before reopening the road.
As a reminder, on days that we are paving, local traffic (people who live or work within the project limits) will only be permitted to travel eastbound within the work zone.
Cavanaugh Lake Rd remains closed to all through traffic. Residents who live or work within the work zone will continue to be provided access throughout construction.
