The Bridge Rd Bridge at the Ford Lake Dam in Ypsilanti Township is officially closed to traffic for the bridge preservation project and a detour has been posted.
Earlier this year our contractor worked on sidewalk preservation under shoulder closures, however the remainder of the bridge preservation requires full bridge closure for safety purposes. We will be working on deck repairs and replacing the expansion joint, which allows the bridge to safely expand and contract based on the temperature.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of July. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
