Ann Arbor-Saline Rd and Wagner Rd: We Need Your Help

This week, we started pouring concrete pavement at the intersection of Ann Arbor-Saline Road and Wagner Road in Lodi Township. We were making great progress but unfortunately, last night someone maliciously drove through the work zone and damaged much of the fresh concrete.

The damage will delay the project by at least a week and is estimated to cost about $20,000 to remove and replace.

This terrible act is being investigated by the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office. They believe that the tire impressions are from an all-terrain type vehicle that appears to be pulling a trailer. If you have any information, please contact the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office at (734) 994-2911.

We know that any road closure is frustrating but we ask that you please obey the signs and barricades. We have closed the intersection for your safety, the safety of our workers and to protect the road infrastructure we are building. Concrete takes time to cure and as we saw last night, cannot be driven, biked or walked on until it has properly cured. Please help us by staying out of the work zone.
