Ann Arbor-Saline Rd and Wagner Rd: Time for Concrete!

We continue to make steady progress on our project at the intersection of Ann Arbor-Saline Road and Wagner Road in Lodi Township.

Today, our contractor started pouring concrete pavement and this work will continue throughout this week. Once the concrete has been poured, it takes days to get to full traffic-bearing strength. Vehicles of all kinds must stay out of the work zone. Driving across the newly placed concrete pavement will damage it beyond repair and result in the removal of that concrete, extending the duration of the current closure. Moreover, entering the work zone is hazardous for both motorists and road workers.

Once the concrete has cured, our contractor will continue to prepare the roadbed north and south of the intersection for asphalt paving.

To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), our employees and contractors are instructed to practice social distancing while on the job site. If you have questions about the project, please do not approach staff in the field. Instead, contact Michele Ford, project manager, (734) 327-6652, [email protected].
