WHY: Soil Borings
BACKGROUND: On Thursday, June 8, 2017, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will reopen Sharon Valley Road over the River Raisin between Prospect Hill Road and Lamb Road in Sharon Township.
A temporary closure was needed to collect soil information essential to the design of the bridge replacement project scheduled for 2018.
The Washtenaw County Road Commission offers our sincere thanks to the area residents, farmers, motorists, postal services, emergency services and school districts who displayed a great deal of patience during the closure of Sharon Valley Road.
