On Monday, June 20, 2016, theintersection of Whittaker Road and Merritt Road will be CLOSED in Ypsilanti Township.
A single-lane roundabout will be built at Whittaker Road and Merritt Road to enhance safety along the Whittaker Road corridor. The road improvements are anticipated to be completed by mid-August 2016.However, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates aretentative and subject to change.
All traffic will be directed to the posted DETOUR routeincluding Hitchingham, Textile, Tuttle Hill, Martz, and Bemis Roads. Local traffic to andfrom properties and businesses internal to the closed section oft he intersection will be maintained.
