WHY: Shoulder work
BACKGROUND: On Friday, October 31, 2025, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) has extended the closure by five days of Dexter-Chelsea Rd between Savannah Ln and Freer Rd in the City of Chelsea for shoulder work.
The work began on October 10, 2025, and is now expected to take approximately 4 weeks to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to intermittent lane closures and lane restrictions. Motorists traveling through the work zone may wish to consider an alternate route.
