Project Update: Construction Is Moving Along…

Construction is moving along on the D3 section of the Border-to-Border (B2B) Trail along the Huron River in Scio Township.

Over the last few weeks, the contractor has been continuing to construct the retaining walls, grade the projected pathway and install an infiltration trench in select locations along the trail. This week, the contractor placed sidewalks in three locations on the north side of Huron River Dr. In the future, crosswalks will be painted and signed at the sidewalks to help users access the trail. The schedule for the remaining sidewalk placement is still yet to be determined.

As a reminder, please refrain from entering the pathway project limits, as it is an active construction zone. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
