The contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) has completed the installation of cofferdam in preparation for new bridge foundations at the Main St Bridge, between Jennings Rd and Tillman Ct in Northfield Township. Excavation and dewatering efforts are underway to allow building the foundations to support the bridge construction.
Moving ahead:
- Install cofferdam on south side of bridge approach
- Prepare foundation forms and pour concrete for northern abutment foundations
Main St remains closed to all traffic; please follow the detour signs. WCRC will provide ongoing updates.
