During the week of November 10, 2025, The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) installed Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at the intersection of Tuttle Hill Rd and Merritt Rd in Ypsilanti Township. The crew also installed advance notification pedestrian crossing signs with LED border lighting.
Remaining enhancements
- Plastic tube delineators (to narrow the roadway) along the newly marked (painted) lane lines will be installed.
- Temporary rumble strips will be installed on Tuttle Hill Rd and Merritt Rd approaching the intersection.
- STOP signs for the non-motorized trail users approaching the intersection will be installed.

WCRC will continue to update residents as the intersection improvements are completed.
