On February 20, 2026, a Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) contractor will return to the intersection of Parker Rd at Shield Rd in Lima and Scio Townships. The concrete foundations have cured, so the contractor will begin setting the strain poles (structural supports) for the installation of the three-way traffic signal.
During the week of February 23, 2026, the contractor will begin the overhead traffic signal work. Once the signal installation is finished, the signal will be in flash for at least 1 week before it is made fully functional.
WCRC will keep residents informed as the intersection improvements progress.
