On Friday, September 26, 2025, The Washtenaw County Road Commission crew excavated the culvert site and removed the failed culvert. During the week of September 29, 2025, WCRC placed the new box culvert under Joy Rd between Jennings Rd and Stein Rd in Webster Township.

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC), completed the final steps of this project and re-opened Joy Rd between Jennings Rd and Stein Rd in Webster Township to traffic.

WCRC is able to perform this project thanks to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and its partnership with the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office and the Township.

If you have any questions regarding this project, contact Ken Harris, Superintendent of Maintenance, at (734) 327-6696, or via email at [email protected].
