On August 27th, Cadillac Asphalt, the contractor working for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC), completed paving Ellsworth Road between Platt Road and Carpenter Road in Pittsfield Township. The hot mix asphalt pavement used for designated segments of this county primary road included ground tire rubber material. The intent is to study the potential improved durability and performance of this modified asphalt.
The contractor is scheduled to apply permanent lane markings this week, weather and scheduling permitting.
