On July 8, the Main St Bridge over the Horseshoe Lake Outlet, between Jennings Rd and Tillman Ct in Northfield Township was closed by the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC). In the first week, the contractor mobilized construction equipment.
Next Steps:
- Temporary access road construction for Jennings Rd
- Removal of the existing bridge
- Installation of cofferdam (watertight enclosure) in preparation for new bridge foundations
Main St remains closed to all traffic; please follow the detour signs. WCRC will provide ongoing updates.
