Platt Rd: Rain, Rain, Drain Away

We are making good progress on the Platt Rd Resurfacing Project in York Township. Crews were able to complete the berming portion of the drainage improvements this week, which will help water drain off of the road. The rain earlier this week put a slight damper on some of the forestry work that has been ongoing, but our crews are on track to complete the forestry work this week, weather pending.

Due to equipment and crew availability, there will be a slight pause in the action before our contractor begins pulverizing the existing pavement later next week. The crushed material will be recycled and compacted to create the new road base. Just a reminder the road remains closed to all through-traffic and a detour route is posted.
