Good Afternoon,

In an already strange year, the next 4 days will be like no other. We have the UM/MSU game, Halloween, a blue moon, Daylight Saving Time ending, our first chance of a snow/rain mix on Sunday, and the election on Tuesday. It’s going to be a wild ride.

Unfortunately, we have already seen some wild behavior from the public this year. Case and point – we had another work zone intrusion last night on Pleasant Lake Road. Luckily, no one was injured. This serves as another reminder to always look out for one another on the road, especially heading into this weekend and winter. We will continue to do our best to plead with the public for cooperation in our work zones.

With all that being said, I want to end this week on a positive note, so, please remember:

  • If you are working along the roadway, keep your head on a swivel.
  • If you are going to celebrate Halloween, please do so safely following all public health guidelines.
  • If you are going to vote, make sure to let your supervisor know and charge your voting leave time to job number 513-099.
  • And, (more importantly) if you are going to watch the football game tomorrow, please root for the maize and blue! 😉

As always, thank you for all that you do. Have a great weekend.

Take care and stay safe,

Sheryl
