It is fitting that in a year like no other, the board and senior leadership team have decided to celebrate our transition from fall to winter a little differently.
Traditionally, we hold Pancake Breakfast to thank all our staff for everything that they do. It is an opportunity for the board members and management staff to serve our employees just as all of you serve the public every day. Instead of hosting Pancake Breakfast this year, we have put together a short video (see below) expressing our deep appreciation of your work.
In addition, you all will be granted 4 hours of extra leave time to be used on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. This will hopefully help you start your long Thanksgiving weekend a little earlier. We will work from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. that day and then we will close our operations for the day. If we have a winter storm requiring response after 11 a.m., employees who are required to work will be paid overtime.
Also, if you want to order WCRC logo’d gear this year, WCRC will cover up to $50 of your order instead of the usual $25. We will provide more information on how to place your order soon.
Hopefully next year, we will be back to pancakes and sausages but in the meantime, thank you for all that you do.
