While Sheryl is taking some well-deserved time off, I wanted to provide an overview of some of the exciting things going on with WCRC HR this fall.
First, I want to thank everyone for participating in the Vision and Dental Coverage Survey this fall. Based on the feedback we received, we are exploring options for an enhanced vision plan in 2022.
Secondly, we are getting ready for Open Enrollment. The preliminary 2022 insurance rates are in and they are looking pretty good with minimal increases compared to 2021 rates. The directors and I will review all the numbers next week with our benefits administrator, Brown and Brown. We are planning for a late-October Open Enrollment period. We will provide more information as we get closer.
Lastly, we continue our year-round efforts to recruit new employees, especially heavy truck drivers. One of the new things we tried this year is an electronic billboard. Our billboard is on display on westbound I-94 near the Willow Run airport (see picture below) through the end of October. If you know of someone with a CDL A or CDL B looking for a permanent or temporary position, please send them our way.
