November 20 – Tough Week

November 20, 2020

Good Afternoon,

I’m not going to sugar coat it – this week has been one of our toughest since the pandemic started. As you know, we had our first full-time employee test positive yesterday. In total, we now have 8 employees quarantined due to potential exposure either from this case or an incident outside of work.

These potential exposures have not happened while people were doing their assigned work for the day. They occurred during social gatherings either on break here or outside of work. These social gatherings, even in small groups, should not be happening while you are at work regardless of whether it is before or after your shift, on break or at lunch. The latest state order says they shouldn’t be happening at home either. This is a matter of your safety and the safety of those around you.

These challenges hit us as we head into a critical time of year – winter. We currently have multiple open positions (although one less after today – thank you, Alicia!) and cannot afford to lose anyone due to illness or potential exposure.

As we begin another weekend and a holiday week, please be thoughtful about your actions and make choices to keep yourself, your family and your co-workers safe.

We need each and every one of you!

Take care and stay safe,

Sheryl
