November 19 – Space is Safe

November 19, 2020

Good Afternoon,

Unfortunately, we learned today that one of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19. This person was assigned to the heavy equipment crew. Due to privacy laws, we cannot identify the employee who tested positive for the virus.

Employees who were within “close contact” of this person, within 48 hours from when symptoms started, have already been notified of the potential exposure and have been instructed to quarantine. Remember, “close contact” means being within 6 feet of an individual for at least 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.

Once again, I want to remind you that “Space is Safe”. This case has forced 4 other employees to quarantine due to potential exposure. As always, your actions have direct impacts on the health and wellbeing of the people around you. To keep yourself and your co-workers safe you must keep your distance from each other, wash your hands and wear your mask.

If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, test positive for COVID-19 or have had “close contact” with a COVID-19 positive person, do not report to work. Contact your supervisor and Nicole Peterson, (734) 255-0818, immediately.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your supervisor, Nicole or me.

Thank you and take care,

Sheryl
