WHERE: US-23, north and south of the Willis Rd overpass, in York Township
WHY: Bridge rehabilitation
BACKGROUND: Starting Friday, March 17, 2023, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close US-23, north and south of the Willis Rd overpass, in York Township for a bridge rehabilitation project. Due to weather conditions, the original start date of this project, Friday, March 10, has been rescheduled to Friday, March 17.
The road will reopen at the beginning of each day and remain open until work resumes in the evening. The road work is expected to take approximately three days. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
