WHEN: Starting Monday, May 13, 2019
WHERE: Intersection of Carpenter Road and Cloverlane Drive in Pittsfield Township
BACKGROUND: Starting Monday, May 13, 2019, the new traffic signal at the intersection of Carpenter Road and Cloverlane Drive in Pittsfield Township will become fully functional. Between now and May 13, the signal will be in “flash” to help drivers grow accustomed to the new signal. Due to weather delays, the signal will become fully functional on May 13 instead of May 8 as originally planned.
Once the signal is fully functional, all legs of the intersection will have wireless vehicle detection to help with the flow of traffic. Drivers are encouraged to stop at the thick white “stop bar” before the intersection to ensure the detection system is activated.
CONTACT: If you have any questions concerning this new signal, please contact Jeff Young, signal engineer, (734) 327-6671, or via email at [email protected]
