Miller/Wagner: Changing Timelines

By December 4, 2020Uncategorized

Unfortunately, we will be suspending construction for the season next week on the Miller Road bridge replacement project in Scio Township. We will resume construction in late-spring 2021 and expect to complete the work and reopen the road in June 2021.

Miller Road between East Delhi Road and Wagner Road will remain closed to all through-traffic throughout the winter. Our contractor has installed temporary asphalt today on both approaches to the bridge. This was done to have a hard road surface for property owners or residents who live within the work zone to access their homes during the winter. WCRC crews will provide winter maintenance in the work zone.

As planned, we removed the cofferdam structure earlier this week. Honey Creek is now flowing back in its original alignment. Our contractor will continue work over the next week to secure the job site for winter.

We are just as disappointed in this decision as anyone. Unfortunately, we just ran out of time before cold temperatures set in to complete the work this year.
