It has been another wet spring week, but we continue to make steady progress putting our road system back together after the spring thaw. Thank you for all of your efforts!
This week is the start of the annual spring Walk.Bike.Drive. Safe promotional campaign by SEMCOG, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments. The goal of this campaign is to help educate the public about the importance of safe behavior for all road users including pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists.
One of the core messages this year is about work zone safety. SEMCOG created a really powerful commercial that is now airing on local TV stations (see below). Many SEMCOG partners, including us, have shared this video on social media this week as well.
We will continue to do our best to remind the public that it is up to all of us to get everyone home safe.
