Good Afternoon,
We continue to hear more good news regarding the pandemic in Michigan – fewer new daily cases than any time in recent months and as of yesterday, 58.1% of Michiganders over the age of 16 have received the vaccine. We also received updated guidance from MIOSHA and have updated our Preparedness & Response Plans to reflect these changes.
Please continue to do what we know works – wear a mask when required, practice social distance and get the vaccine if you have not already.
On another happy note, we are on the verge of a long holiday weekend, well-deserved by all.
Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, but it is also time for us to remember those who sacrificed everything fighting for our country. I know we have a lot of people here who are veterans themselves or have a loved one who is serving or has served. I hope we all take a few minutes this weekend to reflect on the enormity of that sacrifice. I know it has been a particularly challenging year for the country. Memorial Day is a perfect opportunity to remember what is truly important and to honor those who sacrificed everything to protect our country and us.
I hope you have a wonderfully relaxing, long weekend.
As always, thank you for all that you do.
Take care and stay safe,
Sheryl
