May 16: Washtenaw County “High” Risk Level

Good afternoon,

Unfortunately, according to the CDC, Washtenaw County’s COVID community risk level is now back to “high”. This means that starting tomorrow, May 17, 2022, we will implement the following:

  1. Masks are strongly recommended indoors whenever you leave your assigned workplace.
  2. In-person meetings are still allowed but meeting organizers should provide a virtual option whenever possible. Masks are strongly recommended for all in-person participants at any indoor meetings.
  3. Vehicle sharing is allowed, mask wearing is strongly recommended for occupants.

Quarantine rules remain in place. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or test positive for COVID-19, do not report to work. Contact your supervisor and Nicole, (734) 255-0818, immediately for further instruction. If you have close contact with someone who has COVID, you do not need to notify Nicole, but you do need to monitor for any symptoms.

If you have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance through WCRC, you are eligible to order free at-home COVID tests. Click here to learn more.

We may need to revert to stricter rules if guidance from the Washtenaw County Health Department, MIOSHA or the CDC change. We will continue to monitor the situation as we have throughout the pandemic.

Here’s hoping this is just a short-term increase and we can go back to normal soon.

Take care and stay safe,

Sheryl
