Good morning,
It was a quiet week in the office, but a busy one for our operations crews! With the recent rainy weather, our unpaved roads have been quite a challenge. Despite frustrations, our maintenance crews have continued to persevere and provide a valuable service to the traveling public.
With March coming to a close, I would like to remind our organization that next week is a short week! On Thursday, April 6, WCRC will switch to our summer hours of operations and our normal business hours will be Monday – Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These hours of operation will be in place until Wednesday, September 6. To make it more confusing, we annually close in observance of Good Friday. Since we will already be closed on Friday, this moves our Good Friday holiday to Thursday, April 6. So please, remember to mark your calendars and remind yourselves to stay home April 6 and 7!
Lastly, I would like to remind everyone that Recognizing Our Workforce (ROW) nominations are due by the end of the day today. This award gives our employees the opportunity to showcase their co-workers. Whether that be due to exceptional work performance or bringing positivity and engagement to our organization, I encourage you to participate in this employee appreciation program. Click here for the nomination form.
It looks like we have a warmer weekend approaching us. I hope you all find some way to enjoy it.
Take care and stay safe,
Sheryl
