March 19: Thank you, We’ll Continue to Monitor

March 19, 2020, 1:53 p.m.

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for your efforts throughout this difficult week. The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented challenge that has impacted every aspect of our lives in a very short period of time. I have been so impressed with how each of you have risen to the occasion and adapted to the changes that we have made, both big and small.

Please continue to support each other and take good care of yourself.

We will continue to monitor any developments and keep you informed for the duration of this situation. Yesterday, President Trump signed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act into law. It appears that this act includes changes to emergency paid sick leave as well as the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). We are working hard to understand exactly how this new legislation applies to our organization and hope to have more information for you in the near future.

I promise we will get through this together.

In the meantime, I hope you all have a restful weekend. You deserve it!

Thank you again for all that you do
