March 13: Leave Options

Dear WCRC Employees,

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, we offer the following options if you would like to request a change in the way that you work in the coming days:

  1. If you have time left in your annual leave account, you can take annual leave by contacting your supervisor.
  2. You can request an unpaid leave of absence by contacting your supervisor, director and the HR manager (Nicole Peterson) via email.
  3. You can request to work remotely by contacting your supervisor, director and the HR manager via email.

Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis based on nature of your job and other circumstances (access to technology etc.). The management team will be monitoring our emails over the weekend to handle any employee requests that come in.

We continue to prepare should there be further escalation of this issue and I will communicate with you any additional decisions that have been made.
