Good morning,
This week, our operations crews were able to complete culvert replacements on Colby Rd in Dexter Township, Pleasant Lake Rd in Sharon Township and Zeeb Rd in Webster Township. In addition to the culvert replacement projects, our crews were able to complete drainage work on Fletcher Rd out in Lima Township. Our maintenance projects are currently ahead of schedule, and with the recent weather conditions, we may be able to stay on this track. Thanks for all the hard work, Operations!
On Tuesday, we held a virtual public meeting regarding the N. Territorial Rd & Dexter Town Hall Rd safety improvements taking place in Dexter Township. This project involves an extensive hill cut and adding a left-turn lane to the intersection, along with rumble strips and a culvert replacement. Construction for this project began on Thursday, and both N. Territorial Rd and Dexter Town Hall Rd were closed to all traffic. This project will make one of our highly traveled roads safer.
On Thursday, I hosted our first millage educational meeting for township/county elected officials. Overall, the meeting went well, and I feel like we are off to a great start on sharing important information regarding the proposed renew & restore Four-Year County-wide Roads & Non-Motorized Millage for 2025-2028.
