BACKGROUND: Expect lane restrictions on Old US-12 between Fahrner Rd and Chelsea City limits in Sylvan Township on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will be installing a High Friction Surface. The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The road work will take approximately four weeks to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
