WHY: Installation of High Friction Surface
BACKGROUND: On Monday, April 28, 2025, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will have lane restrictions on Old US-12 between Fahrner Rd and Chelsea City Limits in Sylvan Township for installation of high friction surface.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The installation of high friction surface is expected to take approximately ten days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
