WHY: Installation of High Friction Surface
BACKGROUND: On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will have lane restrictions on Old US-12 between Fahrner Road and Chelsea City limits in Sylvan Township for installation of High Friction Surface.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
This work is expected to take approximately three days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
