WHY: Slope repair
BACKGROUND: On Monday, September 21, 2026, Amtrak will begin slope repairs on Island Lake Rd between Dexter-Chelsea Rd and Dexter-Pinckney Rd in Webster and Scio Townships.
The daytime road work will take approximately a few hours. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. Flaggers will be present. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services, and others to use an alternate route.
