WHERE: Intersection of Ellsworth Road and Lohr Road in Pittsfield Township
WHY: Traffic signal installation
BACKGROUND: On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will install steel mast arms at the intersection of Ellsworth Road and Lohr Road in Pittsfield Township.
The intersection will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions and shoulder closures. Temporary sidewalk closures at this intersection are also expected. WCRC encourages motorists, pedestrians, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The steel work is expected to take approximately one day. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions. WCRC’s contractors will return in the next few weeks to complete the traffic signal project.
