WHEN: Starting Monday, March 1, 2021

WHERE: Intersection of Ann Arbor-Saline Rd and Oak Valley Dr in Pittsfield Township

WHY: Signal optimization and installation of turn lanes

BACKGROUND: On Monday, March 1, 2021, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission and Pittsfield Township will begin signal improvements at the intersection of Ann Arbor-Saline Rd and Oak Valley Dr.

The intersection will not be closed to traffic, but some delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.

The signal work is expected to take approximately 8 weeks. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

Once the signal work has been completed, construction will begin to add turn lanes on Oak Valley Dr, north and south of the intersection. During this work, there will be periodic road closures on Oak Valley Dr. Additional advisories will be sent ahead of these closures. All dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

Sidewalks and crossing signals will be periodically impacted by this work.
