WHERE: Holmes Rd between Ford Blvd and Michigan Ave in Ypsilanti Township
WHY: Sidewalk and curb replacements
BACKGROUND: On Monday, October 13, 2025, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin concrete sidewalk and curb replacements on Holmes Rd between Ford Blvd and Michigan Ave in Ypsilanti Township. This work is in preparation for the asphalt resurfacing of Holmes Rd.
These concrete improvements are expected to take approximately one week to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
