WHERE: Emerick Street between S. Grove Street and the I-94 Service Drive in Ypsilanti Township
WHY: Road resurfacing
BACKGROUND: On Thursday, May 30, 2019, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin a road resurfacing project on Emerick Street between S. Grove Street and the I-94 Service Drive in Ypsilanti Township. The project was supposed to start earlier but was delayed due to weather.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The road improvements are expected to take approximately 2 days. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
Sidewalks and crossing signals in the area will not be impacted by this work.
