WHERE: Barker Rd between Kearney Rd and Jennings Rd in Northfield Township
WHY: Tree removal
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, January 25, 2022, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin removing select trees along Barker Rd between Kearney Rd and Jennings Rd in Northfield Township.
The tree removals are ahead of the planned resurfacing project set to take place early this summer.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The tree removals are expected to take two days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
Sidewalks and crossing signals will not be impacted by this work.
