Good morning,
And just like that, June is nearly over. Its hard to imagine that a third of our summer and construction season has already gone by! This week, crews wrapped up a handful of our seal coat projects, leaving just a few more roads to complete. We expect to complete our seal coat program by the end of July. Crews also performed forestry work on Merritt Rd in Pittsfield Township, as well as on Sharon Hollow Rd in Sharon Township. Keep up the great work!
Our resurfacing project on Schneider Rd in Bridgewater & Freedom Townships was completed this week. Resurfacing on Dixboro Rd in Ann Arbor & Superior Townships, and safety improvements at the intersection of N. Territorial Rd & Webster Church Rd in Webster Township are expected to be completed soon. Drainage structures are being installed for the roundabout being constructed at the intersection of Whittaker Rd and Willis Rd, and work is ongoing for the Border-to-Border pathway in Scio Township.
In honor of International Women in Engineering Day on Sunday, June 23, I would like to take a moment to recognize Michele Ford, Senior Project Manager of Traffic & Safety, and Elena Yadykina, Project Manager of Traffic & Safety. Thank you for paving the way for future generations by creating a larger framework of representation in the STEM field.
Lastly, please remember to nominate your fellow co-workers for the Recognize-Our-Workforce (ROW) Award for the second quarter of 2024 by June 30. This employee appreciation program is meant to showcase the exceptional work of your colleagues. Staff members can submit nominations by visiting the employee central website here.
Have a great end of the week and weekend!
Matt
