Good afternoon,
Wow, what beautiful summer weather! It was another great week for road work across the county, thank you for your efforts.
This week, Adam and I kicked off a mini township tour to meet with various supervisors to introduce Adam in his new role and talk about our township partnerships. So far, we’ve had very productive conversations about what is working well and where we can continue to improve. If you have any ideas, please let us know since these township partnerships are critical, especially for our local road system.
You probably heard the disappointing inflation news announced yesterday – the consumer price index was 9.1% higher in June than it was a year ago. We are all feeling this pinch whether at home or at work; and it is certainly on our minds as we prepare for the Q2 Budget Review and 2023/2024 Look Ahead with our board next week. Overall, thanks to careful management, our budget outlook remains stable. I’ll provide more details next week.
I hope you can enjoy the wonderful weather coming our way this weekend. If you are looking for something fun to do tomorrow, come check out the Dexter Library’s Big Truck Event from 10 a.m. to noon. We will have a heavy truck and the new sign truck on display.
Take care and stay safe,
Sheryl
