Good Afternoon,
Well, we have nearly made it through another busy ‘construction season’ week. The weather has been hot and sunny, and we have activities taking place all over the county.
Although it was a short week for us, we unfortunately saw two incidents where motorists crashed into our employees and equipment working along the road. Thankfully, both employees are ok. I’m so saddened to see recklessness like this in our county. Whether it is distraction or that people have forgotten how to drive after being homebound, we are observing some horrific driver behavior. So, I urge you to be extra vigilant while working in and along our roads this summer. We want you to go home safe and healthy at the end of each day.
As we head into a long weekend in observance of Independence Day, I want to wish you all a safe and enjoyable holiday. I know this year’s Fourth of July festivities will look different, but I hope you are able to relax and do something fun with your loved ones.
As always, thank you for everything you do every day.
Take care and stay safe,
Sheryl
