January 12: Snow Storm & MLK Day

Good morning

We are nearly halfway through January and mother nature is making up for lost time. Despite the mild winter that we have experienced so far, it looks like the next few weeks will be filled with cold temperatures and potential for snow/ice. Thank you to our operations crews who have come in early this week to address snowy/icy road conditions. Your winter maintenance activities are vital in keeping the public safe on our county road system. Keep up the great work!

After our first full week of work in 2024, I am sure you all are excited about the long weekend ahead. Enjoy the holiday on Monday and take a moment to acknowledge the importance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who dedicated his life to civil rights advocacy and non-violent social change.

Have a great weekend,

Matt

P.S. Congratulations to the University of Michigan football team on their National Championship. Check out this article to see how our operations department is preparing for a weather event and increased traffic this weekend due to the recent win. Go Blue!
