WHY: Intersection improvements
BACKGROUND: On Thursday, September 3, 2026, the intersection of Intersection of Old US-12 and Pierce Rd/I-94 in Sylvan Township will be converted to an all-way stop, also known as a four-way stop. Currently, the intersection is a 2-way stop with Old US-12 traffic having the right-of-way.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to the intermittent lane restrictions.
The intersection work is expected to take approximately one day. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
