WHY: Soil borings (collecting pavement and soil samples)
BACKGROUND: On Friday, May 22, 2026, a geotechnical consultant working on behalf of WCRC will begin collecting existing roadway pavement and underlying soil information at the intersection of N. Territorial Rd and Curtis Rd in Salem Township. This is part of the design process for the proposed 2028 roundabout project.
As the boring (drilling) is performed, the road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to intermittent lane restrictions.
The collection of this field data is expected to take eight days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
