WHERE: Bemis Rd, Merritt Rd & Munger Rd in Pittsfield, York & Ypsilanti Townships

BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin ditching, forestry, brush clearing and berm work in Pittsfield, York and Ypsilanti Township. WCRC crews will be performing this work on:

  • Bemis Rd between Carpenter Rd and Munger Rd
  • Merritt Rd between Carpenter Rd and Munger Rd
  • Munger Rd between Bemis Rd and Merritt Rd

The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to the intermittent lane closures. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.

The ditching, forestry, brush clearing, and berm work are expected to take approximately 30 days. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
