Good afternoon,
What a week. We saw a little bit of everything, from wild weather to COVID news to preliminary discussions about seasonal weight restrictions.
First, I can’t thank each of you enough for all your efforts dealing with Mother Nature this week. I know much of this work will continue into the weekend and it is very much appreciated.
Second, thanks to the decrease in case numbers, we relaxed some of our COVID work protocols earlier this week. Click here to read my email on this subject. On Wednesday, the State of Michigan announced additional relaxation of its public health recommendations for workplaces and schools. So far, neither Washtenaw County Health Department nor the CDC has followed suit regarding workplace recommendations. We will continue to watch the situation closely and respond accordingly.
Third, we are monitoring conditions regarding seasonal weight restrictions. Right now, we are in a holding pattern but will impose them if the weather forecast changes. Once the decision has been made, we will send out an email advisory to subscribers, post to our website and social media.
Lastly, I’m pleased to share that we have completed the 2022 Local Road Funding Packets for each of our 20 townships. Click here to check them out. This report is full of customized information to help townships make more informed decisions about local road funding. These packets were sent to all township officials earlier this week. Thank you to everyone involved in creating the packets and all those who will be involved in the 2022 Local Road Program.
Take care and stay safe,
Sheryl
