BACKGROUND: The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) has extended intermittent lane restrictions on the installation of centerline corrugations (rumble strips) and pavement markings in Dexter, Lima, Lyndon, Northfield, Salem, and Scio Townships by 7 days.
The centerline corrugations (rumble strips) and pavement markings started on Monday, April 27, 2026, and will now take up to two weeks to complete, subject to weather and contractor scheduling.
Although the road will remain open, delays are likely to be due to lane restrictions. Motorists should consider alternative routes.
