Happy Friday! It’s hard to believe that we’re already 9 days into December.
On Tuesday, our board approved the 2022 year-end and 2023 preliminary budgets. Overall, 2022 was a successful year here at WCRC and we are ramping up for another busy year in 2023. The board continues to take a balanced approach by investing in staff, equipment, facilities and, of course, the county road system.
As I’ve previously mentioned, there are also some big-ticket items coming up next year, including the new salt storage building at the main yard. We are also hoping for the delivery of 11 heavy trucks that were ordered in 2021.
We appreciate that Mother Nature has recently given us a slight break in the winter action, but it looks like a wintery mix might be heading our way this weekend. Thank you in advance for all your hard work.
